Ceramic Infrared Comfort — Switzerland

Warmth you can feel in minutes.
On a wall that looks like art.

SunWave Ceramica is a design-grade infrared panel that warms the room you're actually in — your body, your floor, your walls — not the empty air above your head. Silent. Dust-free. Nine porcelain finishes.

The feeling

Like sunlight, indoors.

Infrared doesn't heat the air and hope it reaches you. It warms surfaces and people directly — the same way the sun feels warm on your face on a cold, clear day. You feel it within minutes of switching on, and the walls and floor hold that warmth and release it slowly after the panel powers down.

The result in the room it's in: even, gentle warmth from floor to ceiling. No fan roar. No hot-then-cold cycling. No dust pushed around the room.

Why it feels different

Radiant warmth,
not blown air.

Conventional electric heaters warm the air. Warm air rises. Your feet stay cold while the thermostat is satisfied. Every time a window opens or a door closes, the heated air escapes and must be replaced.

SunWave Ceramica panels emit long-wave infrared (8–14 µm) — the same wavelength that building materials, floors, walls, and people absorb most efficiently. Surfaces warm up. Walls store heat and release it slowly. The room is comfortable at 1–2°C lower thermostat setting.

No stratification
Uniform floor-to-ceiling temperature. No warm-ceiling, cold-floor effect.
Charges thermal mass
Walls and floors absorb and slowly re-radiate heat. Room stays warm after panel switches off.
No dust circulation
No convective air currents means settled allergens stay settled. No recirculation.
Completely silent
No fan. No pump. No combustion. No moving parts. Absolute silence in operation.

A strength, not a disclaimer

Because radiant heat warms you directly, many people feel comfortable at a thermostat setting 1–2°C lower than they'd need with blown-air heating — which is where infrared's real efficiency story lives: comfort in the occupied zone, not a headline percentage.

These tests confirm what the panel is — genuine infrared, clean, electrically safe. They're not energy-savings claims, and we won't dress them up as any. Infrared's value is comfort and finish in the rooms you use, not a lower bill than a heat pump.
Honest comparison

Is infrared the right tool
for your space?

Infrared is brilliant for some jobs and the wrong tool for others. Here's where it fits — and where it doesn't.

Your situation Infrared a good fit?
Warming one or two specific rooms Excellent
Bathroom, home office or occasional room Excellent
Pairing with solar PV Strong
Holiday home used intermittently Strong
Replacing your whole-home boiler ⚠ Usually a heat pump is the better tool
Trying to beat a heat pump on running cost It won't — heat pumps deliver more heat per kWh

We'd rather sell you two panels that are perfect for your cold rooms than one heating system that's wrong for your house. If a heat pump is what you need, we'll say so.

FAQ

Common questions

Usually not as the primary system. SunWave is direct electric resistance heating — wonderful as supplementary and single-room warmth, but for whole-home primary heat a heat pump is generally the better and more economical choice, and the one that fits Switzerland's energy regulations for new primary systems. We're happy to tell you honestly where infrared fits.
No — and we won't pretend otherwise. A heat pump delivers more heat per unit of electricity. Infrared's value is different: targeted comfort in the room you're using, fast warm-up, silence, clean air, and a beautiful finish — often letting you keep the rest of the house cooler.
Yes. Fraunhofer WKI measured TVOC at 0.043 mg/m³ — 23× below the limit — with no combustion products and no fan-driven dust. The ceramic surface is chemically inert. Mount on the upper wall, out of direct reach of small children.
A socket-connected panel needs no building modification and leaves only mounting holes, which can be filled before you move out. Standard Swiss tenancy law generally permits additions like this, but always check your own rental agreement — we can't guarantee every landlord's position.
5 years. No moving parts, no filters, no gas components.
